The EvoTools® zirconium fibre disc is the high-performance solution for aggressive grinding and finishing of stainless steel (INOX), alloy steels and hard metals.
Thanks to the zirconium abrasive grains, this disc delivers significantly higher efficiency and a self-sharpening effect during use, maintaining its grinding performance even under extreme contact pressure. The vulcanised fibre backing and epoxy resin bonding provide maximum stability on the angle grinder, reducing vibration and preventing disc loading during grinding.
Recommended applications:
- grinding of INOX (stainless steel): cool grinding that prevents heat discoloration of the metal.
- heavy grinding and deburring: rapid leveling of thick weld seams, chamfering edges on heavy plate and structural steel profiles.
- removal of hard layers of oxides, mill scale, two-component industrial paints or rubber coatings from metal surfaces.
- grinding of aluminium and non-ferrous metals: aggressive grinding without rapid clogging of the disc.
For optimum results, mount the fibre disc on a rigid backing pad (plastic/polyamide pad 125 mm), tighten firmly with the angle grinder’s flange nut and grind at an attack angle of 10-15 degrees to the metal surface. Always use full protective equipment (goggles, mask, gloves).
